Mulberri launches embedded cyber insurance offering for MGAs

Small-and-medium-sized businesses need protection against significant cyber threat.
Embedded insurance company Mulberri has launched a new cyber insurance offering to help MGAs better serve small-and-medium-sized clients

Embedded insurance platform Mulberri has launched a new cyber insurance MGA offering to help its embedded partners protect small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs) against the threat of cyber attack.

Describing cybersecurity and cyber insurance as an “indispensable” part of modern life, the company’s latest offering will allow its clients to defend their customers’ cyber risk surfaces and reduce the threat of downtime emanating from an attack.

According to a recent report from IBM X-Force, ransomware is the most prevalent type of attack and manufacturing the most targeted industry – although financial services remains in second place, meaning it is still a key target for cyber criminals.

Businesses face more threats now than possibly ever before. Changes to the way we work post-COVID make employees more vulnerable to phishing scams, with research suggesting that people are more likely to engage in risky behaviours online when not in an office setting. Likewise, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine briefly tested allegiances among cyber crime gangs, but the threat from state-sanctioned hacking continues – and consortiums are using smaller businesses, once thought too small to be a target, as testing grounds for new recruits.

Mulberri’s CEO, Hamesh Chawla, says the insurtech firm has worked hard with its partners to revolutionise cyber insurance by making it more streamlined, simpler, and friction-free.

Mulberri has worked ‘to understand cyber challenges’

“We understand the challenges of navigating the ever-evolving cyber threats landscape,” Chawla says. “That’s why we’ve taken a customer-centric approach to creating cyber insurance that simplifies the sales process for our partners. Gone are the days of complex underwriting questions and endless paperwork.

“Mulberri’s cyber insurance can be integrated within ClientSpace, Salesforce, or other CRMs at the point of sale. With fixed premiums, there are no surprises with Mulberri Cyber Insurance. Adding comprehensive cyber coverage to your existing offerings has never been easier. Now, you can focus on providing exceptional services to your SMB clients without getting bogged down by lengthy forms.

Chawla continues: “At Mulberri, we believe in the power of collaboration and mutual growth. We’ve carefully handpicked our partners to ensure the perfect match for our cyber insurance. This allows us to offer personalised support, ensuring you get the attention and resources needed to excel in cyber insurance. Our dedicated team of experts is here to assist you every step of the way, providing the latest insights, go-to-market strategy, and industry best practices to help you stay ahead of cyber threats.”
