bolttech has been chosen by telecoms group NJJ to provide embedded device insurance for European mobile operators under its portfolio

Insurtech firm bolttech has been chosen by telecoms group NJJ to provide device insurance for European mobile operators under its portfolio, including Salt and Monaco Telecom.

The partnership will see bolttech embed relevant coverage within the existing customer journey of NJJ-owned mobile operators. Salt alone currently serves more than 1.5m postpaid mobile customers across Switzerland, while Monaco Telecom has over 800,000 registered mobile customers.

The partnership further deepens previous standalone collaborations with local mobile operators such as Salt – a longstanding partner of bolttech in Switzerland, offering customers fast and efficient device protection services such as next-day device replacement and one-hour walk-in device repair.

Last month, the Singapore-headquartered insurtech announced a deal for Polish-based device protection insurtech Digital Care, which it hopes will support its ambitions within embedded mobile insurance; and announced a new partnership with telecoms company Three in Sweden.

Bolttech building on ‘long-standing relationship’ with NJJ

Bolttech has already grown out its offering to more than 35 markets in four continents, including the US, Asia, Europe and Africa. With a full suite of digital and data-driven capabilities, bolttech powers connections between insurers, distributors, and customers to make it easier and more efficient to buy and sell insurance and protection products.

Dr. Jens Schädler, Chief Executive Officer for bolttech Europe, says: “We are honoured to build on our long-standing relationships with existing partners under NJJ, such as Salt and Monaco Telecom, to strengthen and expand our international collaboration.

“Together, we will deliver a wide range of next-generation device protection to more customers across Europe. This partnership marks a significant milestone for bolttech as we expand our partnership with NJJ and strengthen our leadership in the device protection space.”
