Beazley appoints new Head of Cyber Services International

Beazley has appointed Christian Taube as its new Head of Cyber Services International, following two further senior hires in the cyber team last month

As the cyber risk landscape continues to evolve, organisations need to ensure their technology and risk management tools remain a top priority.  Specialist insurer Beazley has appointed Christian Taube as its new Head of Cyber Services International, as it is continuing the rapid expansion of its cyber team this year.

His recruitment follows the recent appointments of Russ Cohen as Head of US Cyber Services and Bala Larson as Head of Client Experience in February.

Technological advancements have been at the heart of the Beazley Group since it was established in 1986. The company is a participant in the Lloyd's market, the largest and oldest insurance market in the world. Through the Lloyd's broker network and the market's trading licenses, it is able to access a wide range of insurance and reinsurance businesses from around the world.

Making cyber security a priority

Before joining Beazley, Taube was Chief Information Security Officer at Contentserv and, prior to that, he built the information security practice at DataGuard. Based out of Beazley’s Munich office, he will be responsible for further developing and enhancing Beazley’s cyber risk management and incident response functions.

Commenting on his appointment, Raf Sanchez, Global Head of Cyber Services, said: “When you consider the ever-changing risk landscape, and specifically the sharp increase of ransomware in recent years, it is fair to say that maintaining good cyber hygiene should be a key priority for all businesses today. Business leaders also need to be confident that their risk management tools are up to the job, to further reduce their risk of falling victim to an attack.

“Providing clients around the globe with the tools they need to stay ahead of the curve from a cyber perspective remains a key goal for Beazley. I am delighted to welcome Christian into the fray to further support our rapid international growth in this area.”
