Pie Insurance hires long-time Chubb exec Foglietta as CFO
Pie Insurance has appointed former Chubb executive Audra Foglietta as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer, effective next week.
Foglietta joins the Denver-based company after more than two decades at P&C insurer Chubb, where she has held numerous senior roles, including most recently as CFO for Global Operations and Technology. Previously, she had spent five years as CFO of Chubb’s excess and surplus division.
An experienced insurance industry executive, she brings “a proven track record of driving financial performance and optimising operational efficiencies,” Pie says in a statement announcing her appointment. She holds an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University and specialises in business transformation, corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, and business analytics and operations.
Pie claims Foglietta is joining “during a pivotal period of growth” at the company, which has grown direct written premiums by more than 250% over the last two years. It comes roughly a year after the company, which predominantly offers workers’ compensation insurance to small-and-medium-sized businesses, raised over US$300m in a sizeable Series D round.
Since 2017, Pie has received over $615M in funding and partnered with over 4,000 agencies nationwide.
