LeakBot Launches in Washington, Ageas UK Trials Technology
LeakBot, Ondo InsurTech's flagship smart water leak detection device, continues its upward trajectory in the insurtech sector. Following successful deployments across various markets, LeakBot is now making its debut in Washington State. This expansion signifies the product's growing influence and reliability in preventing water damage and reducing insurance claims.
Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co and Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange (which operates under the name Pure), have extended their LeakBot programs into Washington state. The existing technical and support infrastructure will facilitate the expansion and implementation of the LeakBot programs by the insurance companies in that region.
Expansion into Washington State
The partnership will see LeakBot installed in homes across the state, offering residents a proactive solution to water leak detection and damage prevention.
Washington State has been chosen for its progressive stance on smart home technology and its high rate of water-related insurance claims. By addressing these issues, LeakBot aims to demonstrate its value in a new and challenging market.
Additionally, Wendi Leibovitz has taken on the role of director of customer success in North America. Leibovitz, a licensed insurance agent, comes from SimpliSafe Ltd, where she managed embedded partnerships for the smart home security company.
Chief Executive Officer Craig Foster says: "The customer success role is a key hire for Ondo, and we could not have found someone more ideally suited than Wendi with her expertise, experience and industry-specific knowledge. I am also encouraged to see both Pure and Nationwide expanding with us into a second state, supporting our strategy to roll out each partnership on a carefully managed state-by-state basis."
Partnership with Ageas UK
Ondo InsurTech has also announced a trial of its technology with Ageas UK. Ageas, one of the largest insurance providers in the UK, will integrate LeakBot into its offerings to assess its impact on reducing water damage claims. The trial aims to validate LeakBot's efficacy in early leak detection and its potential to lower insurance costs for both providers and customers.
