IMG and Teladoc Health expand partnership to enhance telehealth services for travellers, offering round-the-clock access to medical professionals worldwide

IMG, a leading provider of global insurance benefits and assistance services, has announced an expansion of its partnership with Teladoc Health, aiming to offer enhanced telehealth services to a broader range of travellers. This development is set to significantly improve the accessibility and convenience of healthcare for individuals travelling abroad, addressing a critical need in today’s increasingly mobile world.

The expanded collaboration will integrate Teladoc Health’s advanced telehealth solutions into IMG’s existing suite of services, providing travellers with round-the-clock access to medical professionals. This integration promises to enhance the overall travel experience by ensuring that medical advice and care are immediately available.

Teladoc Health, a leader in virtual care services, effectively leverages technology to improve healthcare access and outcomes. By incorporating advanced telehealth solutions such as virtual consultations and chronic condition management, Teladoc ensures that patients have access to care from any location, significantly improving convenience and accessibility.

Kelly Bliss, President, US Group Health at Teladoc

“We believe that our expanded partnership with IMG will significantly enhance the healthcare options available to travellers, providing peace of mind and reliable medical support,” says Kelly Bliss, President of U.S. Group Health at Teladoc Health.

This partnership expansion is part of a broader trend within Teladoc Health to innovate and integrate new technologies. Teladoc Health has also strengthened its data suite by collaborating with Microsoft to address the healthcare workforce crisis through AI-driven solutions, which aims to improve healthcare delivery and reduce the administrative burdens on medical professionals.

The enhanced telehealth services provided through this partnership will include virtual consultations, mental health support, and chronic condition management, ensuring comprehensive care for travellers. This development comes at a crucial time as the demand for remote healthcare services continues to rise, driven by both the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the growing preference for virtual health solutions.

Teladoc Health's financial performance underscores its robust growth. The company reported significant revenue increases and adjusted EBITDA for the fourth quarter and full year of 2023, indicating strong market demand and successful execution of its growth strategy.

Other expansion efforts include All360Health services, which Teladoc Health powers. It is now available on select IMG Patriot Travel Medical Insurance and iTravelInsured Travel Protection plans.

“Teladoc Health recognises the importance of convenient and affordable healthcare for non-emergency situations, especially while travelling,” said Nadia Smith, Teladoc Health's director of global accounts. “By partnering with IMG, we help travellers save time and money on their healthcare needs through speedy telephone and online access to medical professionals worldwide.”
