Verisk partners imaging proptech to speed up claims process

Data analytics company Verisk is teaming up with proptech Planitar, utilising the firm's property imaging solutions to help make insurance claims quicker

Verisk, which provides data analytics and associated technology to the insurance industry, is teaming up with proptech firm iGuide to “accelerate the insurance industry’s claims process”.

iGuide, whose technology is more conventionally used by the real estate industry to create floorplans and virtual tours of homes, will assist Verisk with its new iGuide Instant Sketch solution.

This new innovation – which combines optical imaging, lidar measurements and deep learning AI technology – helps to fully automate an important first step in the claims process and “significantly improves the accuracy and speed of creating a comprehensive property loss documentation package,” the two firms say in a statement.

The solution will be integrated with Verisk’s Xactimate platform to give insurance adjusters “unprecedented accuracy, speed and increased efficiency”.

Verisk and Planitar make data collection ‘90% faster’

Aaron Brunko, President of Property Estimating Solutions at Verisk, says: "Our collaboration with Planitar brings an unparalleled opportunity for insurance adjusters to leverage technology from our ecosystem partners together with the power of the Xactimate claims processing platform. Together, we’re working to simplify the claims Sketch process, improve the quality of loss documentation and enhance adjusters’ productivity.

“We are proud to be at the forefront of this transformation and of our commitment to an open ecosystem designed to drive efficiency and deliver solutions that make a real difference for our customers."

"We are excited to announce our collaboration with Verisk to introduce iGuide Instant Sketch to the insurance industry,” adds Alexander Likholyot, CEO of Planitar. “Together, we're taking a significant step towards transforming the insurance claims process.

“By combining our comprehensive property documentation solution with Verisk's data analytics expertise, we’re offering insurance adjusters a seamless and high-speed workflow that reduces time spent on data collection and sketching by 90% or more.”
