Allianz Partners recently introduced the Generational Health Insights report and an accompanying docuseries, shedding light on pivotal healthcare themes: lifestyle wellness, mental health support, and the advancement of digital healthcare. This report pulls together findings from multiple studies to offer a comprehensive look at health trends.

The Generational Health Insights report seeks to uncover how current and future healthcare needs can be addressed sustainably, with an eye towards the well-being of forthcoming generations.

Discoveries from the Generational Health Insights Report

A leader in B2B2C insurance and assistance, Allianz Partners spreads its services across over 70 countries with a focus on providing innovative solutions in international health and life, travel insurance, mobility, and assistance. The company’s 22,600-strong workforce handles 72.9 million cases annually.

Highlights from the Generational Health Insights include:

  • An ageing global population means a hike in chronic disease risks; by 2030, one in six people will be over 60. Many express concerns about ageing without the assurance of quality life.
  • Chronic diseases cause 41 million deaths yearly, highlighting a critical need for increased awareness and prevention. Allianz Partners champions education as a means to boost health and well-being.
  • 47% of Gen Z reports experiencing frequent anxiety, with 22% often feeling depressed—placing mental health on equal footing with physical health. Allianz Partners emphasizes personalized mental health interventions.
  • The usage of prescribed mental health apps surged by 6,500% in 2024, underlining the blend of technology and human touch in healthcare.

Allianz Partners underscores the essential role of trust-building in the use of health data and its benefits, for a more integrated health ecosystem.

Allianz Partners' Commitment to Healthcare Decision Empowerment

Mariana Ishchuk, the Global Head of Product Management & Innovation, shared her enthusiasm about providing insights on key health concerns and working alongside Health Economist Joe-Max Wakim.

“This report reinforces what came out of our States of Mind health report last year. It emphasises the need to focus on preventive care, the improvements that could bring to people’s long-term quality of life and the positive impact it would have on reducing the strain on national healthcare systems,” she noted. The report is a step forward in Allianz Partners' ongoing efforts to bolster individual empowerment in health-related decisions.

“Helping to build a health ecosystem which improves access to quality care is an important part of our vision,” Ishchuk highlighted the significance of transparency and responsibility in managing health data. Additionally, she celebrated the advancements in digital health services, emphasizing preventive care and tailored mental health support to shape the future of healthcare positively.
