InsurTech LIVE: Meet Infosys’ Jayakumar Venkataraman
This October will see a host of speakers join InsurTech LIVE to discuss key themes in the industry, as part of panel discussions and keynote speeches. Among them is Jayakumar Venkataraman, Managing Partner, Europe, Financial Services and Insurance at Infosys Consulting.
But, who is this keynote speaker? Read on to find out about the career and expertise of Venkataraman ahead of the big event.
Who is Infosys’ Managing Partner, Venkataraman?
Jayakumar Venkataraman has been working in the world of finance for over 30 years, beginning his career as an Assistant Systems Analyst at TCS.
A graduate of the University of Calicut and Ahmedabad Indian Institute of Management, Venkataraman soon found himself as a Senior Relationship Manager at American Express Bank in 1995.
This followed a short stint as an Assistant Manager at Citibank for 1993-1995.
Following his stint at American Express Bank, Venkataraman shifted course, taking a similar Senior Relationships Manager role at BNP Paribas, shortly before joining Infosys in July 2003.
Now 20 years later, Venkataraman still finds himself at one of the world’s leading information technology consultancy groups.
Initially a Senior Consultant at Infosys Technologies, Venkataraman quickly moved up to take the role of Senior Principal, which he held for six years between March 2006 and September 2012.
It was then he moved into his current role as Partner, Management Consulting, Financial Services and Insurance Practice, which he held for over a decade now.
Not content with restricting his expertise to one position, Venkataraman took up the position of Managing Partner, Europe, Financial Services and Insurance.
In this role, Venkataraman leads the Infosys Consulting team in advising clients on business transformation, helping them implement the latest technology by leveraging new digital technologies, including machine learning and AI.
As of March 2023, Venkataraman also holds a position as Trustee Director at The Institute of Export & International Trade, a professional membership body offering business support, training and qualifications.
Venkataraman joins a host of other speakers at InsurTech LIVE, including AXA Global Healthcare’s Chief Transformation Officer, Frederick Bisbjerg, whose career and achievements can be found here.
