INSTANDA appoints Kevin Gaut as new Chief Technology Officer

Insurtech INSTANDA has appointed Kevin Gaut as its new CTO, acquiring 25 years of experience across the insurance and financial services sectors

Global provider of no-code insurance platform technology, INSTANDA, has appointed Kevin Gaut as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

The insurtech acquires over 25 years of technology leadership experience in Gaut, who has worked across the insurance and financial services industries across the UK, the US and Asia.

INSTANDA CTO, Kevin Gaut

As INSTANDA’s new CTO, Gaut is responsible for driving the platform's ecosystem strategy, leveraging the INSTANDA future-proofed architecture to enhance client value and shift industry opinion to drive the promotion of no-code solutions over low code.

Gaut will work closely with INSTANDA’s existing and prospective clients to act upon new growth opportunities, in conjunction with the company’s Co-founder and CEO Tim Hardcastle and the wider Senior Management Team.

Commenting on his appointment, Gaut says: “Often the phrases no-code and low-code are used interchangeably, but in my experience, the two are very different, low-code you are still in the world of IT change, however, with INSTANDA we have a truly no-code solution, the business is in total control.

“I am excited to join INSTANDA and become part of a company known for its innovation and commitment to transforming the insurance industry. INSTANDA’s no-code platform is proven to enable insurers to embrace digital transformation and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

“I look forward to leading the team, driving change that will continue to revolutionise the way insurers innovate and interact with their clients – ultimately creating better outcomes for all.”

The making of Gaut

With 25 years of leadership experience, Gaut certainly brings with him a wealth of expertise. Most recently serving as CTO at Finova, Gaut’s career has seen him take positions at the likes of SSP and Legal & General

Beginning his career as a Solutions Architect, Gaut worked at the compliance corporation CSC for over 17 years, before joining SSP as CTO in 2006.

He later became a Lead Portfolio Architect at Legal & General, before reacquainting himself with CSC in a consultancy capacity.

Returning to SSP in 2012, Gaut stayed for over eight years, before joining Finova in May 2021. He now finds himself as CTO of the insurtech INSTANDA.

Speaking on Gaut’s appointment, INSTANDA Co-founder and CEO, Hardcastle, says: "We are delighted to welcome Kevin as our new CTO. His extensive experience and proven track record in driving innovation make him the ideal leader to enhance our platform and create even more value for our clients.

“With Kevin's strategic vision and expertise, we are well-positioned to accelerate our growth plans and continue to empower and enable insurers from across the globe to create positive change for their businesses and end customers."

The appointment of Gaut comes a year after INSTANDA announced a US$45m fundraising deal led by Toscafund, a European growth equity investment firm for financial services and insurance companies.
