Bunq Teams up with Qover to Launch Travel Insurance
Qover, an insurtech company, has partnered with bunq, Europe's second-largest neobank, to offer worldwide travel insurance to bunq users across seven markets. This insurance, included in bunq's premium plans, launched in just six weeks. The partnership puts an emphasis on data transparency and a seamless user experience, integrating features like fast claims processing and easy access to travel certificates within the bunq app. This collaboration aims to provide bunq users with peace of mind during their travels, supported by AI-powered customer care and a comprehensive claims data dashboard.
Qover's expertise in embedded insurance allowed them to quickly integrate their services with bunq. They incorporated features like a fast claims process and easily accessible travel certificates into the bunq app. This enhances the user experience by making travel insurance claims straightforward and providing essential documents conveniently within the app.
Quentin Colmant, CEO and Co-Founder at Qover, says: "Collaborative spirit is the cornerstone of our successful partnership. Together with bunq, we prioritised delivering an exceptional user experience for Eva, bunq's model user. This commitment extends beyond the insurance product itself, encompassing outstanding AI-powered customer care and a streamlined claims process.”
A crucial aspect of this partnership is embedded insurance orchestration, available on bunq’s Easy Bank Pro XL plan. Qover’s extensive claims data dashboard, which analyses clauses that typically lead to rejections, empowers bunq users to easily make claims when they need to.
What is embedded insurance?
Embedded insurance refers to the integration of insurance products and services directly within a company’s existing offerings or platforms, making the insurance available as a seamless part of the customer experience. Instead of purchasing insurance separately, customers can access it during their regular transactions, such as booking a flight, buying a car, or signing up for a digital banking service. This approach simplifies the insurance process, enhances convenience for users, and often provides tailored coverage options that are relevant to the specific purchase or activity.
Embedded insurance will enhance the Qover-bunq partnership by integrating travel insurance into bunq's digital banking platform. This integration allows users to access insurance without leaving the app, providing a smoother and more convenient experience. Key benefits include: convenience, speed and an improved user Experience.
Founder and CEO of bunq, Ali Niknam says, “We’re making travel insurance effortless together. It’s exactly the peace of mind we want our users to have, whether they spend, save or travel with bunq”.
Qover has invested heavily in improving its customer support and claims capabilities through automation and AI-powered processes, which will further enhance the support that its team provides to bunq’s users in ensuring a seamless user experience throughout the travel journey.
